ABC News Correspondent Bob Woodruff and his son Mack Woodruff head out on an adventure in Rogue Trip, a new National Geographic series headed to Disney+. The elder Woodruff was a war correspondent who was wounded in Iraq. However, as Woodruff says in the Rogue Trip trailer below, he didn’t want his kids “to grow up fearful because of what happened.” As a result, the two Woodruffs are off to prove there’s more to see in certain parts of the world than some of us may believe.

Rogue Trip actually looks and sounds like a genuinely interesting, and positive show. Remember positivity? I don’t, but we could all sure use some more of it. Here’s how Disney describes the series:
“I couldn’t be more excited to share this series with viewers around the world,” Bob Woodruff said. “This is an adventure of a lifetime to be with Mack discovering together how every place on the planet has the power to surprise, amaze and inspire, despite its past.”
The Woodruff’s are headed to Colombia, Paupua New Guinea, Ethiopia, Lebanon, and Ukraine. There’s a bit of an Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown vibe to what’s going on here, and I dig it. Here’s a breakdown of the episodes:
All six episodes will be streaming on Disney+ July 24.
